- Standards and the Body of Evidence - Ref #3794* Education reform concerns everyone these days. This workshop breaks down the questions of standards, mastery, and assessments and discusses them in laymen’s terms. Topics such as graduation requirements and “body of evidence” will be presented.
- No Child Left Behind - Ref #807* The “No Child Left Behind Education Act” raises new issues and requirements that states must meet in providing an opportunity to learn for all children. This workshop will provide an overview of the main pillars of the act and the components that involve parents.
- The Role of Parents in Education (for teachers) - Ref #802* Parents are their children's first teacher from birth through early adulthood. When children enter into school, parents continue to play a critical role in formal learning. Parent involvement increases self-esteem and student achievement.
